The Department of Civil Engineering in association with CESA organized a Technical Seminar on “Effect of Passive Earth Pressure in Piles” on 24-03-2021 at 03.55 p.m in Room No.2202, Cambridge Block. Mr.B.Jegatheeswaran, Assistant Professor / Civil Engineering presented the seminar. All the Civil Engineering students and faculty attended the seminar. Mr.B.Jegatheeswaran explained the basics of pile foundation and demonstrated the modelling of single pile using Plaxis software. The model showed the stress developed in soil due to surcharge loads at different locations. Mr.B.Jegatheeswaran clarified the doubts raised by the participants. The seminar came to an end at 4.40 p.m.
