Grievances Redressal

By implementing these measures, our institution can maintain a harmonious working environment while upholding principles of integrity and fairness in addressing disputes promptly and professionally.
Grievances Redressal Cell deals with all types of grievances, complaints and malpractices including those received from Students, Faculty and other Stakeholders.

The Grievance Redressal Committee for our institution is re-constituted with the following faculty members for the academic year 2024-25.

‘Grievances’ may include the following complaints of the aggrieved Students namely :
  1. Making admission contrary to merit determined in accordance with the declared admission policy of the institute.
  2. Irregularity in the admission process adopted by the institute.
  3. Refusing admission in accordance with the declared admission policy of the institute.
  4. withhold or refuse to return any document in the form of certificates of degree, diploma or any other award or other document deposited with it by a person for the purpose of seeking admission in such institution, with a view to induce or compel such Person to pay any fee or fees in respect of any course or programme of study which such person does not intend to pursue.
  5. Demand of money in excess of that specified in the declared admission policy or approved by the competent authority to be charged by such institution.
  6. breach of the policy for reservation in admission as may be applicable.
  7. Complaints of alleged discrimination by students from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, women, minority or disabled categories.
  8. Nonpayment or delay in payment of scholarships to any students that such institution is committed, under the conditions imposed by AICTE, or by any other authority.
  9. Delay in conduct of examinations or declaration of results beyond that specified in the academic calendar.
  10. On provision of student amenities as may have been promised or required to be provided by the institution.
  11. Denial of quality education as promised at the time of admission or required to be provided.
  12. Non transparent or unfair evaluation practices.
  13. Harassment and victimization of students including sexual harassment; and
  14. Refund of fees on withdrawal of admissions as per AICTE instructions from time to time.

The Grievance Redressal Cell at the institute is responsible for addressing student grievances related to both academic and non-academic matters. An online grievance addressal form is available for students /staff/ faculty to report their genuine grievances.

Escalation Procedure: Initially, grievances are handled by mentors, class coordinators, and department heads. If unresolved, they are escalated to the Grievance Redressal Cell. The Cell also encourages students to share suggestions for continuous improvement and aims to provide a supportive system while taking proactive measures for timely redressal.

Students can approach committee members directly and inform their genuine concerns. They can also approach the HoDs or interact during the class committee meetings or in person. The class committee report will be investigated and appropriate action at the institutional level will be taken. Students can also write mails to [email protected] or drop their grievance /suggestion in the drop box kept in ground floors of Oxford/Cambridge/Hostel ground floor entrances.

Faculty/ Staff working in the institution can express their grievances to the committee members appointed for faculty/staff. Faculty /Staff are asked to use the above channels of online reporting or contact the committee members/ HoDs/ Principal. Any unsolved issues will be escalated to management for further resolution.
