KAAVAL UTHAVI APP– AWARENESS PROGRAM From 13.03.2025, the NSS unit of AAACET, in collaboration with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Virudhunagar, conducted a comprehensive awareness program focusing on the critical utility of the ‘Kaaval Uthavi’ mobile application. The program was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guests, Mr.C.Kannan, Special Sub-inspector of Police, and Mr.R.Parthiban, Special Sub-inspector of Police. They delivered an informative session detailing the various functionalities of the app, emphasizing its role as a vital tool for ensuring personal safety. They highlighted the app’s ability to facilitate swift communication with law enforcement during critical situations, thereby enabling rapid response and intervention. To provide a practical understanding of the app’s operation, a live demonstration was conducted with active student participation. Students volunteered to simulate emergency scenarios, triggering the app’s alert system. They were able to experience first-hand the prompt response received from the officials, including immediate phone calls, after utilizing the app’s emergency features. This hands-on experience significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of the app’s effectiveness and reliability. The event underscored the importance of leveraging technology for public safety and empowering individuals with the tools necessary to protect themselves during emergencies.
