The Department of Information Technology organized its first Parent-Teachers Association meeting on 30-03-2025

The Department of Information Technology organized its first Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) meeting on March 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Sir C. V. Raman Seminar Hall. The event was coordinated by Mr.R.Prabhu, Class Advisor, and Ms. P. Meenadharshini, Mentor, along with student volunteers. Approximately 26 students’ parents attended the meeting. Dr. R. Raja Guru, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering, highlighting the progress made by the department. He emphasized that the core aim of the department is to provide students with a joyful learning environment by incorporating academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities to promote their development. He also spoke about the NPTEL exams, the Full Stack Development training program, and how these initiatives are beneficial to students. Dr. Raja Guru addressed the parents’ concerns and clarified their doubts regarding these programs. Additionally, he discussed the special remedial classes offered to students who scored below 60%, aimed at improving their academic performance. Mr. Sugumar, Manager of iTech Solution, gave a brief introduction to the Full Stack course and shared his personal experiences with the program. At the end of the meeting, parents raised queries about the Full Stack training, its opportunities, and requested more details about the NPTEL domain and the courses selected by students. These queries were addressed effectively by the Head of the Department. The class advisor and mentor also took the opportunity to address the parents before concluding the meeting.
