TECHFORGE 2K25 A National Level Technical Project Competition on 16-05-2025

On May 16, 2025, The Department of Mechanical Engineering of AAA College of Engineering and Technology (AAACET), in collaboration with the SAE India College Club, hosted TECHFORGE 2K25—a National Level Technical Project Competition. This event provided a platform for budding engineers to present innovative projects addressing real-world challenges.

The competition attracted 60 enthusiastic participants, including students from esteemed institutions such as K.L.N. College of Engineering and Technology, Hindustan College of Engineering, Saveetha Engineering College (Chennai), and Sankara Polytechnic College (Coimbatore). Additionally, students from various departments within AAACET actively participated, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. R. Selvabharathi, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the event’s convenor, inaugurated the event with a warm welcome address. The Chief Guest, Mr. B. Gopalakrishnan, M.Tech., Business Head of MS Fire & Safety Institution, Rajapalayam, was honored during the ceremony. In his keynote speech, Mr. Gopalakrishnan emphasized the significance of research, innovation, and intellectual property, encouraging students to transform their ideas into patents and practical solutions.

Participants showcased projects across diverse domains, including solar power, drones, agriculture, sustainable energy, additive manufacturing, IoT-based systems, hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles. Each project was evaluated by a panel of experts based on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, technical depth, and societal relevant

The event was meticulously organized by faculty members Mr. A. Vignesh Moorthy Pandian (AP/MECH), Dr. P.S.R. Senthil Maharaj (ASP/MECH), and Mrs. V.S. Lakshmipriya (AP/MECH), ensuring its smooth execution. The competition concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of prizes to outstanding teams.

TECHFORGE 2K25 successfully achieved its objective of fostering creativity, technical acumen, and collaboration among engineering students. The event underscored AAACET’s commitment to nurturing talent, promoting research, and contributing meaningfully to the engineering community.
