Know Your Rights A Guide to Consumer Empowerment was held on 20-08-2025 at 2:00 P.M.

The Department of Science and Humanities organized a Motivational Talk for First Year Engineering Students (2025-2029 Batch). The programme, titled “Know Your Rights: A Guide to Consumer Empowerment,” was held on August 20, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Kamarajar Auditorium, Oxford Block. Mrs. P.S. Saritha, AP/ Physics, delivered the Welcome Speech. Dr.K.Anand, Academic Coordinator,  honoured the Chief Guest, Mr. M. Mohamed Yahiya. Dr. Subha, AP/ English, gave an introduction about the Chief Guest. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. M. Mohamed Yahiya, who delivered a motivational talk about rights and consumer empowerment. This session provided the importance of rights and consumer empowerment, which refers to the process of strengthening consumers’ abilities, rights, and authority to make informed choices and participate actively in the marketplace. Consumer empowerment aims to create a more balanced and equitable marketplace. Students learned that consumer empowerment includes the ability to express needs and preferences to businesses and policymakers, influencing product development, service delivery, and policy decisions. Students energetically participated and gained practical knowledge on their rights and consumer empowerment. Dr. R. Gandhimathi, AP/ Physics, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
