Report on Hands-On Training: AI-Enabled Cyber Security on 07-03-2026

The Department of CSE (Cyber Security) of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, in association with Cryptnova and the Institute of Engineers, organized a hands-on training on “AI-Enabled Cyber Security” for second year students on 7th March 2026 in the Cyber Tech Centre Laboratory, Cambridge Block.

The programme began with a welcome address delivered by Ms. S. Sandeepa, III Year CSE (Cyber Security), who extended a cordial greeting to the dignitaries and participants. This was followed by the felicitation address by the Head of the Department, Dr. P. Elamparithi, who highlighted the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence in strengthening cyber security practices and encouraged students to gain expertise in this emerging domain.

The introduction of the resource person, Mr. E. Guru Chandran, Software Developer & Security DRI at Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., was then presented by Ms. S. P. Deepika, III Year CSE (Cyber Security), outlining his professional experience and contributions to cyber security and AI.

The training session covered key topics such as footprinting and reconnaissance, enumeration, social engineering, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and cryptography. The resource person also demonstrated the use of industry-relevant tools like Burp Suite to perform security testing and vulnerability analysis. Through hands-on activities and practical demonstrations, students gained valuable insights into identifying security threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and applying AI-driven approaches to enhance cyber defense mechanisms.

The session effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, enhancing students’ technical competence, analytical thinking, and awareness of current cyber security practices.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. V. Vijayakumar, III year CSE (Cyber Security), expressing sincere gratitude to the resource person, management, faculty members, and fellow students for their support and participation.

Overall, the hands-on training was informative and impactful, equipping students with essential knowledge and practical skills in AI-enabled cyber security.
