The NSS Unit of AAACET in association with the Department of Horticulture and Plantation Crops, Virudhunagar, organized a special Voter Awareness Program on April 7, 2026, for college students who are set to vote for the first time. The Principal, Dr.M.Sekar welcomed the guests and the participants, emphasizing the crucial role of youth in fulfilling their democratic duty for the nation’s progress. The Chief Guest, Virudhunagar District Revenue Officer Mrs.Anandhi, urged the students to cast their votes without fail in the upcoming election on April 23, 2026, and to encourage their friends and relatives to participate in the electoral process. Mrs.Subavasugi, Deputy Director of Horticulture (DDH), explained the fundamental necessity of voting for a country’s development. To inspire the gathering, NSS Volunteer Mr.R.Santhakumar performed an awareness song highlighting the significance of voting. Following this, first-year student Ms.J.Desiga led the voter awareness pledge, which was solemnly taken by all the participants to ensure ethical and honest voting.
