The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the SAE India Collegiate Club of AAACET, successfully organized a Technical Seminar on “Supply Chain Management” on 18 July 2026 (Saturday) at 10:30 AM in the Thomas Alva Edison Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. S. S. Saravanakumar, Professor & Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The seminar was delivered by Mr. Kavieyarasu E., Deputy Manager, Envision Energy India Pvt. Ltd., who provided valuable insights into modern supply chain management practices, including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, inventory management, distribution strategies, and emerging industry trends. Through real-world examples and practical case studies, he highlighted the significance of efficient supply chain systems in enhancing organizational performance and global competitiveness. The session also offered students a clear understanding of career opportunities and the essential skills required in the field of supply chain management.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. M. Kaliraj, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. A. Vignesh Moorthy Pandian, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. M. Nagendran, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The event concluded with an engaging interactive question-and-answer session, where students actively participated by raising industry-related queries. The seminar received an enthusiastic response from the participants, who appreciated the informative, practical, and industry-oriented nature of the session.
