Objective of the Programme
The objective of this inauguration and guest lecture was to formally launch the activities of the Computer Science and Engineering Association for the academic year and to expose students to modern data visualization and analytics tools. The session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of Artificial Intelligence integrated with Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), demonstrating how AI-driven insights transform organizational decision-making and enhance business performance.

Programme Overview
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the CSI Student Chapter, organized the Association Inauguration and Guest Lecture on “Power Business Intelligence Using AI” on 13th July 2026.
The event commenced with the blessings of Shri P. Panjurajan, Founder of AAA Group of Educational Institutions, and in the presence of the management, faculty members, and students.
The formal inauguration began with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the auspicious lighting of the Kuthuvilakku. Mrs. M. Renuga Devi delivered the welcome address, and Dr. M. Sekar, Principal, delivered the presidential address. Dr. J. Hemalatha, HoD (CSE), offered felicitations and briefed the gathering on the planned association activities for the academic year. The student president, Mr. S. S. Barath, formally introduced the chief guests.
The resource persons, Mr. G. Suriyanarayanan and Mr. K. Satheesh Sundar from TVS Sensing Solutions Pvt. Ltd., conducted an interactive and technical guest lecture covering:
- Fundamentals of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics
- Integration of Generative AI tools with Power BI
- Automated data transformation, modeling, and interactive dashboard creation
- Natural language querying (Q&A visuals) and predictive insights using AI
- Industry case studies on sensor data analytics and operational intelligence
- Career opportunities in data engineering, BI development, and business analytics
An interactive Q&A session followed, during which students actively engaged with the speakers regarding real-time implementation challenges, certifications, and industry requirements.
