A one-day industrial visit was arranged for the II Year EEE students to Solar Power Plant, Kurunaikulam, and Venus Home Appliances, Tuticorin, on 11-02-2025. 32 students and 3 faculty members went for the visit.
In the forenoon session, students visited the Solar Power Plant, Kurunaikulam. In the visit, the students gathered knowledge about the working principle of solar power generation, learnt about grid integration, and observed the operation, maintenance, and safety measures followed at the plant.
In the afternoon session, students visited the Venus Home Appliances, Tuticorin. In the visit, the students understood the manufacturing process of water heaters, learnt about quality control and testing methods, and observed the assembly line and packaging process.
The industrial visit helped the students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation by enhancing their understanding of manufacturing, quality control and innovation.
