The Department of Civil Engineering organized a certificate course on ‘Analysis of Structures using STAAD Pro software’ from 15/03/2021 to 18/03/2021 in the CAD/CAM laboratory. Mr.M.Sivasankar, Assistant Professor/Civil and Mrs.U.Brindha, Assistant Professor/Civil were the resource persons for the course. STAAD Pro Software is widely used in the analysis and design of various structures such as residential buildings, bridges, towers, transportation structures, industrial structures and utility structures. Twenty-five students from III year & IV year B.E. Civil Engineering Department attended the course. The four days course helped the students to automate the analysis and design work which is a better alternative when compared to the tedious and long procedures of the manual methods.
