On May 7, 2025, the NSS unit of AAACET organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program to educate participants on the importance of protecting their personal data. The event began with a heartfelt welcome by NSS volunteer Mr.S.Mari Shankar, who warmly greeted our distinguished chief guests: Mr.R.Subramaniam, State President, Consumer Protection Service Centre and Mrs.R.Ponmeena, Inspector of Police, Cyber Security Department, Virudhunagar. The guests were honored with a shawl by Dr. J. Dharmaraja, the Head of the Department. Mr.R.Subramaniam exposed the ways in which personal details are illegally collected in consumer shops, urging everyone to be cautious while sharing their data. Mrs.R.Pon Meena emphasized the severe impact of cyber threats caused by careless data sharing and insisted that victims should report any cyber-related incidents immediately to ensure swift action and protection. The program was coordinated by NSS Coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan.
