| Description about the Programme | The NSS Unit and Anti‑Drug Club of AAACET, in association with the Child Welfare Department, Virudhunagar, organized an impactful Drug Awareness Program on 01.09.2026, inaugurated by Dr.S.S.Saravanakumar, HoD/Mechanical, and Dr.B.Padmanaban, HoD/ECE. NSS Volunteer Mr.R.Santha Kumar welcomed the gathering with an insightful speech, setting the tone for the program. Mr.Anbudan Sri stressing that drug abuse often starts with “just a try” but eventually ruins life, while Mr.Lenin Vinoth Singh demonstrated through student games how addiction affects both the future and family growth. Mr.Thirupathi highlighted the ill effects of drugs, emphasizing that early prevention saves lives, whereas later stages damage both the mind and vital organs. Mr.Senthilkumar introduced the Drug Free TN mobile app, explaining its features to report illegal drug sales among students. The program concluded with Mrs.Meenakshi leading the Drug Awareness Pledge, inspiring students to commit themselves to a drug free life and to spread awareness for a healthier society.
