EXAMINATION CELL
The exam cell coordinates with Anna University regarding all matters related to the University examinations. The Incharge also coordinates along with the Principal regarding all the proceedings of the Exam cell. Conducting of all examinations is the prime responsibilities of the Exam cell. Further, any information either received or required to be sent to the University is being dealt within the cell. Any circular, guidelines, office order, notifications received by the college is processed in the cell; reply thereof prepared and after Principal’s signature dispatched to the University.

Major Functions by Exam Cell
- The college has an Examination Cell for overseeing the conduct of all the internal and University end semester examinations. The Examination cell consists of Principal (Chief COE), COE, Exam cell Coordinator, Assistant Exam cell members and clerks.
- Enrolling the students for the regular courses, professional electives and open electives for every semester in the Anna University COE Web portal.
- Conducting Internal Assessment Examinations (Theory) as per time slots provided by the Anna University.
- Conducting the University end semester Practical and Theory exam as per the time table provided by the Anna University.
- Registering the students for the end semester practical and theory exams, payment of exam fees collected from the students to the Anna University, issuing the hall ticket, grade sheet, etc.,
- Arranging for photo-copy/re-evaluation of University end semester answer-booklets as requested by the students upon payment of necessary fees as prescribed by Anna University.
- The Exam Cell shall ensure proper organization, execution and coordinate all types of examinations (TNPSC, TRB, etc.).
- The Exam Cell shall maintain all the students’ academic performance records and any other documents related to examinations safe and confidentially.
Internal Exam Process
- Internal Examinations are conducted based on the Academic Schedule prescribed by the Anna University and one model exam for theory subjects is conducted before the start of their University examinations to make them well prepared for their University examinations.
- The Internal Examination Timetable will be released 2 weeks before commencement of examinations.
- Once the examinations are conducted, the answer scripts of students are evaluated and verified by the HOD to ensure that there is no discrepancy or partiality in the valuation.
- Conducting the University end semester Practical and Theory exam as per the time table provided by the Anna University.
- At the end of every semester external audit by a senior faculty member from other department is done to ensure the quality of evaluation.
- Arranging for photo-copy/re-evaluation of University end semester answer-booklets as requested by the students upon payment of necessary fees as prescribed by Anna University.
- The answer scripts are distributed to the students by the faculty members within two days of examination.
- The Exam Cell shall maintain all the students’ academic performance records and any other documents related to examinations safe and confidentially.
- The faculty members discuss the answers to all the questions given in the examinations during the distribution of answer scripts to the students. This helps the students to understand their mistakes and note down the corrections.
- Special Coaching and improvement Test is conducted for the slow learners in the subsequently once all the examinations are over.
