The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, organized a Guest Lecture on “Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly HV Insulation System” on 18.09.2026 (Friday) at Cambridge Block, First Floor.

The session began with a warm welcome, presided over by Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Professor & Head / EEE. The resource person of the day was Mr. K. Kumar, M.E., (Ph.D.), Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, who shared his valuable expertise in the field of High Voltage Engineering and insulation systems.

During the lecture, Mr. K. Kumar highlighted the importance of High Voltage (HV) insulation systems in modern electrical power transmission and distribution networks. He explained the need for sustainable and environmentally friendly insulation technologies and discussed recent developments in insulation materials and systems. He also emphasized the importance of developing insulation solutions that ensure reliable electrical performance while minimizing environmental impact. The session provided valuable insights into emerging technologies, current research trends, and future prospects in sustainable HV insulation systems.

The students actively participated in the interaction session, where they raised questions related to HV insulation materials, sustainable insulation technologies, insulation performance, and future research opportunities. The lecture enriched the participants with knowledge of recent advancements in High Voltage Engineering and motivated them to explore innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions in the field of Electrical Engineering.
