The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a Parents–Teachers meeting for all the second-year and the third-year students on 26.04.2025. Mrs.B.Sarojini AP/EEE welcomed all the parents who had gathered for the parents teacher meeting. Dr.C.Senthil Kumar, HoD/EEE, clearly explained the vision and mission of our institution and the department, and gave a brief introduction about the establishment of the college and department. He gave a detailed presentation on infrastructure details, guest lectures, and technical contests conducted under the department association. He gave a brief introduction about the department of EEE, profile of the head of the department, brief profile of the faculty working in the department with Ph.D, and faculty pursuing Ph.D. Infrastructure details such as laboratory facilities, classrooms, tutorial room, seminar hall, library and faculty room were clearly explained with photos and the softwares available in labs.
He informed about the plenty of opportunities available in the electrical core companies. He talked about the achievements, programs conducted, and the details of industry visits conducted in the academic year 2024-2025 (odd semester) and discussed the relevant importance to their placements. Proctors of each batch were introduced to all the parents. He informed the faculty to contact the students’ parents who were absent on the particular day. So he asked them to update the mobile number and address in the proctor diary.
In view of improving the students’ performance, the head of the department conveyed that the students should not often take leave from the regular classes. He informed the parents to motivate and concentrate their children to perform well in the university practical and the theory exams. The HoD informed about the academic performance awards. The student who secure Anna University rank will be refunded with the full tuition fees of the entire course of B.E Programme paid by him/her and also the student who secure more than 9 GPA in Anna University end semester examinations will be given a cash award of Rs.10,000/-.
The HoD concluded his speech by asking the full support and cooperation from the parents for the upliftment of the department and the college. Finally he thanked all the parents for attending the meeting. 32 parents attended the meeting. The parents appreciated the efforts taken by the department for the development of the students. The parents gave positive feedback on the activities of the department. Finally all the parents met the proctors and the program ended with the refreshment and tea.
