Parents Teachers Meeting

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Parent–Teacher Meeting on 27th September 2025 at Thomas Alva Edison Hall for the II, III & IV year ECE students. The primary objective of this meeting was to strengthen the interaction between parents and faculty members, focusing on the academic progress and overall development of the students.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. T. Kaavya, a second-year student, followed by an introduction to the purpose of the session. Dr. B. Padmanaban, Head of the Department of ECE, then addressed the gathering.

In his speech, Dr. B. Padmanaban highlighted the achievements of the department, including students’ outstanding academic performances, university examination results, successful completion of industry-linked projects, participation in technical events, placement highlights, and recent faculty research contributions. He also emphasized the department’s continuous efforts in upgrading laboratories, conducting value-added courses, and fostering innovation among students.

The academic performance of the students, including their attendance percentage, Internal Test–1 results, and Anna University April/May 2025 examination results, was shared and discussed in detail by the respective mentors with the parents.

The meeting received an active participation of more than 60 parents, who engaged enthusiastically in discussions about their wards’ academic progress and personal development. Feedback sessions were held where parents provided their views regarding the faculty members handling various courses and shared valuable suggestions for further improvement in teaching and student performance. In addition, disciplinary issues, if any, related to the students were discussed individually with the parents to ensure corrective measures and proper guidance.

The event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Gayathri, Assistant Professor/ECE, and Mrs. A. Jeevani Selvabala, who ensured smooth organization and effective communication between parents and faculty members.

The meeting concluded with an assurance of continued cooperation between parents and faculty to enhance the academic excellence and holistic growth of the students. The active participation of parents contributed to the success of the event. Ms. M. Santhiya of II ECE delivered the Vote of Thanks, and the program ended with the National Anthem.
