Eco and Nature Club of AAA College of Engineering and Technology (AAACET) Sivakasi, Organized “Regenerate Earthworms to Ensure the Yield of Vermicomposting” on 08.11.2024 to raise awareness about the crucial role earthworms play in the vermiculture process and its significant impact on waste management and soil health. The event featured a detailed presentation by Prof. Dr. J. Dharmaraja Head of the Department / S & H, explained the importance of vermicomposting and how regenerating earthworm populations can enhance the quality and quantity of vermicomposting. As a practical demonstration, 5 kg of earthworms were added to a vermiculture setup during the event to showcase the practical steps involved in regenerating earthworm populations for optimal composting results.

The event was targeted at students, environmental enthusiasts, and faculty members, aiming to educate them about the benefits of vermiculture and provide practical knowledge on managing earthworm populations to ensure effective composting. At the end of the programme each and every one took an oath to protect our environment as greener way.
