The Department of Civil Engineering in association with CESA organized a Technical Seminar on “Geopolymer Prestressed Concrete Sleeper” on 01-04-2021 at 03.55 p.m in Room No.2202, Cambridge Block. Mr.M.Siva Sankar, Assistant Professor / Department of Civil Engineering presented the seminar. All the Civil Engineering students and faculty attended the seminar. Mr.M.Siva Sankar explained the concept of geopolymer concrete and highlighted the differences between conventional and geopolymer concrete. He also explained the concept of prestressing and manufacturing process of prestressed geopolymer concrete sleepers. He also clarified the doubts raised by the participants. The seminar came to an end at 4.40 p.m.
