The Department of Civil Engineering organized a one day seminar on ‘The Power of Civil Engineering Integration with Computer Technologies’

 on 17.03.2025 in the Sir Isaac Newton Seminar Hall.AII the II and III year civil engineering students participated in this seminar. 

The speaker was Mr.J.S. Sukumar, Industry Institute Interactive Consultant for Red Hat Linux from Itech Academy.

During the lecture, the speaker provided an overview of various emerging technologies and tools related to computer technology which would help civil engineers to increase their competency.

He highlighted the importance of possessing multi-disciplinary knowledge.He suggested possible post graduate studies in logistics, management, law etc., which would fetch better career prospects.He presented the benefits of undergoing value added course on ‘PCT – Personalised Computer Technology’.

He addressed the importance of having no arrears, continuosly learning with peers and avoiding distractions to achieve goals.The seminar was very useful to the students.Students were actively involved in the seminar by the interesting and engaging delivery style of the speaker.Many students provided positive feedback and expressed their eagerness to learn.
