Women’s Day Celebration on 07.03.2025

The AAA College of Engineering and Technology, through its Women Empowerment Cell (WEC), organized a vibrant and inspiring Women’s Day Celebration on March 7, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Sir Visvesvaraya Seminar Hall, Cambridge Block (Ground Floor). This event, held in honor of International Women’s Day, aimed to celebrate the achievements of women and promote awareness of gender equality while inspiring young women to pursue their dreams fearlessly. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Rasmi RK, a distinguished Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Squint, and VitreoRetinal Surgeon, who has made significant contributions in the field of ophthalmology. Holding prestigious qualifications such as MBBS, DO, FPOS, and FRVS, Dr. Rasmi RK delivered an empowering speech on the importance of women’s health, career growth, and the need to break societal barriers that hinder women’s success in various professional fields. Her speech resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their chosen paths. The event began with a warm welcome by the organizers, followed by the keynote speech of the Chief Guest, in which she elaborated on the importance of resilience, perseverance, and education in overcoming gender-based obstacles. The presence of Shri P. Panjurajan, Founder of the AAA Group of Institutions, added to the significance of the occasion, as he extended his blessings and shared his vision for fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports women’s growth and leadership. The program also included words of encouragement from the institution’s key dignitaries, including Dr. P. Karvannan, Secretary; Dr. P. Ganesan, Correspondent; Dr. K. Vignesh Kumar, Joint Secretary; Dr. M. Sekar, Principal; and Dr. N. Thenmoezhi, Chairperson, all of whom expressed their appreciation for the efforts taken by the Women Empowerment Cell to organize such a meaningful event. To make the event more engaging and interactive, various competitions were conducted, allowing students to showcase their talents and creativity. These competitions included a Tamil Speech contest, where participants eloquently expressed their thoughts on women’s empowerment and societal challenges; a Tamil Poetry competition, which saw students presenting beautifully crafted poems that reflected the strength, struggles, and triumphs of women; an Art from Waste contest, encouraging students to create innovative artworks from discarded materials, symbolizing the idea of transformation and resilience; and a Group Dance competition, where girls from various departments enthusiastically participated, showcasing their energy and talent through powerful and expressive performances. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different departments, reflecting their keen interest and commitment to celebrating womanhood and promoting gender equality. The audience, comprising faculty members, students, and WEC coordinators, actively engaged in the discussions and appreciated the platform provided to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements. The Women’s Day Celebration served as an inspiring and motivational event, emphasizing the crucial role of education, empowerment, and inclusivity in shaping a better future for women. The dedication and hard work of the Women Empowerment Cell members in organizing the event were highly commendable, ensuring its success and making it a memorable occasion for everyone present. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries, participants, and coordinators who made the celebration possible.
