Workshop on Idea, PoC, Pitching & Validation and Guest Lecture on Recent Advances in Electrical Engineering on 17-07-2026

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-AAAACET), successfully organized a Workshop and Guest Lecture at Thomas Alva Edison Seminar Hall, Cambridge Block. The programme commenced with a workshop titled “Idea, PoC, Pitching and Validation” from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM. The session was handled by Mr. Murugavel Bala, Mentor and Chief Skills Officer, ATRIBS: Shield Skill Hub, Chennai. He explained the process of transforming innovative ideas into successful products through proper Proof of Concept (PoC), validation techniques, and effective pitching strategies. The session encouraged students to think creatively and develop entrepreneurial skills. Participants actively interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts regarding innovation and startup development.

Following the workshop, a Guest Lecture on “Recent Advances in Electrical Engineering” was conducted from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The lecture was delivered by Dr. N. B. Muthu Selvan, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Kalavakkam, Chengalpattu. He highlighted the latest technological advancements in renewable energy, smart grids, electric vehicles, power electronics, and automation. The speaker emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and industry-oriented learning in the field of electrical engineering. Students gained valuable insights into emerging technologies and current industrial trends. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students of the EEE department. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons.
