INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF SAEINDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB On 04-07-2026

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, AAA College of Engineering and Technology (AAACET), Amathur, successfully inaugurated the SAEINDIA Collegiate Club on 04 July 2026 at the college campus with the enthusiastic participation of 53 SAE student members. The inauguration marked the establishment of a vibrant professional platform aimed at enhancing students’ technical competence, leadership abilities, innovation skills, and industry interaction through various SAEINDIA activities.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Dr. M. Sekar, Principal, AAACET, in the presence of Dr. S. S. Saravanakumar, Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. P. Baskara Sethupathi, Secretary, SAEINDIA Southern Section. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the significance of SAEINDIA in developing future engineers by providing opportunities to participate in technical competitions, workshops, industrial interactions, and professional networking. He emphasized that active involvement in SAEINDIA activities enables students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial expectations.

Dr. Varunkumar, Chairman, SAEINDIA Southern Section – Madurai Division, interacted with the newly elected office bearers of the collegiate club and shared valuable suggestions for organizing technical events, promoting student leadership, and increasing participation in SAEINDIA initiatives. He motivated the students to make the club an active center for innovation, research, and professional development.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Mr. A. Vignesh Moorthy Pandian and Mr. M. Nagendran, Assistant Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the SAEINDIA Collegiate Club at AAACET. The club is expected to provide students with extensive opportunities for technical learning, industrial exposure, teamwork, and leadership, thereby preparing them for successful careers in the automobile and allied engineering industries.
