Value Added Courses
Value Added Courses
The department offers value-added courses to enhance technical competence and industry readiness of students in the field of VLSI and semiconductor technology.
ASIC Design
This course introduces students to Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design methodologies. It covers design flow, RTL design, synthesis, timing analysis, and physical design concepts. Students gain hands-on experience in developing optimized chip-level designs.
Cadence Tools Training
Students are trained in Cadence design tools widely used in the semiconductor industry. The course includes schematic design, simulation, layout design, and verification using Cadence environments. It helps students understand analog and mixed-signal design workflows.
Synopsys Tools Training
This course focuses on Synopsys EDA tools used for digital design and verification. Students learn synthesis, static timing analysis, and verification techniques using industry-standard platforms, preparing them for roles in chip design and verification.
FPGA System Design
This course provides practical knowledge on FPGA-based system development, including HDL coding, simulation, and hardware implementation. Students work on real-time applications such as signal processing and embedded system design.
VLSI Verification & Testing
This course introduces verification methodologies, test benches, and debugging techniques. It covers functional verification, timing verification, and fault detection methods used in modern IC testing.
