Objective of the Programme

The objective of the Alumni Interaction Guest Lecture was to provide students with practical exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and to guide them on cyber security career pathways. The programme aimed to strengthen alumni engagement and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

Programme Overview

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the CSI Student Chapter, organized an Alumni Interaction Guest Lecture on “IAM – Driven Cyber security Career Pathway” on 7th February 2026 at Shri Visveswaraya Seminar Hall.

The session was conducted with the blessings of Shri P. Panjurajan, Founder, AAA Group of Educational Institutions, and in the presence of the Chairman & Secretary, Correspondent, Joint Secretary, Principal, Head of the Department, faculty members, and students.

During the session, the alumnus shared his academic journey and transition into the cyber security domain. He provided insights into Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication and authorization mechanisms, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and enterprise-level security implementation.

The speaker discussed industry tools, compliance standards, security frameworks, and real-time challenges faced in multinational organizations. He emphasized the importance of technical proficiency, certifications, internships, and continuous learning for building a successful cyber security career.

An interactive alumni–student discussion was conducted, where students clarified their doubts regarding skill development, interview preparation, internship opportunities, and career growth in cyber security.
