Autodesk Fusion 360 International Certification Course – 22.01.2024 to 30.01.2024

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at AAACET conducted the Autodesk Fusion 360 International Certification course in collaboration with ICT Academy. This course aimed to equip our students with essential skills in computer-aided design (CAD) using Autodesk Fusion 360, leading software in the field. The training was conducted from January 22, 2024, to January 30, 2024, followed by the International Certification exam scheduled for February 2024. It was compulsory for all 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering students to participate in this course. The inauguration ceremony for the Autodesk Fusion 360 International Certification course took place on January 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Thomas Alva Edison Seminar Hall, located in the Cambridge Block. This event marked the official commencement of the course and included addresses by Principal Dr.M.Sekar, Dr. M. Selvabarathi, Hod/Mech and Mr. P.S.R. Senthil Maharaj, Course coordinator and faculty members highlighting the importance and objectives of the training program.

The core training sessions for students were conducted from January 22, 2024, to January 30, 2024, in the CAD Lab. The training sessions covered various aspects of Autodesk Fusion 360, including but not limited to:

  • Introduction to CAD and Fusion 360 interface
  • Sketching and modeling techniques
  • Parametric modeling
  • Assembly design
  • Simulation and analysis
  • Documentation and collaboration tools

The training sessions were interactive, hands-on, and conducted by certified trainers with extensive experience in using Fusion 360 for real-world applications. Students had access to state-of-the-art facilities in the CAD Lab to practice and apply their learning effectively. The Autodesk Fusion 360 International Certification course was a significant initiative by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AAACET to empower our students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge in CAD technology. We are confident that this course has contributed to the professional development of our students and prepared them to excel in their future careers.
