The Department of Mechanical Engineering, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, organized an industrial visit for the III Year Mechanical Engineering students to V.V.V & Sons Edible Oils Limited, Virudhunagar on 10th September 2025. The visit provided students with an excellent opportunity to observe and understand the large-scale operations of one of the leading enterprises in the edible oil industry. The students were introduced to various stages of oil extraction and refining processes, along with the working of mechanical expellers, filtration systems, and modern packaging units. The exposure to advanced machinery and techniques gave them a practical understanding of how mechanical engineering plays a vital role in agro-based industries and food processing sectors. Special emphasis was given to industrial safety measures and quality control systems, which highlighted the importance of maintaining standards in large-scale production. The visit not only bridged the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practice but also inspired the students to appreciate the scope of mechanical engineering in diverse fields. Overall, the program proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students, adding significant value to their academic and professional growth. The industrial visit was effectively co-ordinated by Mr. A. Vignesh Moorthy Pandian, Assistant Professor/Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. M. Kaliraj, Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade)/Mechanical Engineering.
