The workshop on “Design Thinking” was organized by Institution’s Innovation Council on 11th January 2020. Dr.R.Meena Prakash, Asso.Prof/ECE and Mr.M.S.Kalyana Sundaram, AP/EEE are the resource persons of the workshop and they are IIC innovation ambassadors. They have completed the training programs on “Design Thinking & Innovation” and “Pre-Incubation & Incubation Management” respectively organized by MHRD’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, New Delhi. The resource persons discussed about the process of Design Thinking – Empathy, Design, Ideate, Prototype and Test. 53 students from various departments actively participated in the workshop and they were split into 10 groups. Different issues like Home Automation, Vehicle automation, Security for Women, Prevention of Environmental Pollution were given as problems to the groups. Each group discussed among themselves, did brainstorming, framed the problem statement and generated ideas as solutions to the problem. They also developed prototype of the idea and presented it.
