The Department of Science and Humanities, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Amathur, Sivakasi, in association with the Institute of Gandhian Studies and Research (IGSR), Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai, organized the Inaugural Function of the Certificate Course on “Gandhian Thought.” The event was held on August 20, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Kamarajar Auditorium, Oxford Block. The programme began with the Invocation, followed by the Introductory Address delivered by Dr. K. Anand, Academic Coordinator, Department of Science and Humanities. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. R. Devadoss, Principal, Institute of Gandhian Studies and Research, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai. He highlighted the enduring relevance of Gandhian principles in contemporary society and emphasized their role in shaping values, ethics, and social responsibility among students. This was followed by the Felicitation Address delivered by Dr. N. K. Alagarsamy, Visiting Faculty, Institute of Gandhian Studies and Research, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. M. Dhanalakshmi, Assistant Professor of Tamil (S&H) and Coordinator of Gandhian Thought, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
