Industry visit  on 29-08-2025

The Department of Information Technology, under the banner of its association Tech Nexus, organized an industrial visit on 29th August 2025 with the aim of providing students with real-time exposure to industrial processes and professional work culture. A total of fifty- eight students participated in this visit with great enthusiasm, accompanied by faculty members Mrs.Soundharya (AP/IT), Mrs.Viji (AP/IT), and Mrs.S.Seethalakshmi (AP & Head of the Department) who guided the students throughout the trip.

The first destination was Bhargave Rubber Private Ltd, Tara Gardens, 342, Melakkal Rd, Kochadai, located in Madurai,Tamil Nadu. This company is a reputed manufacturer of industrial and automobile oil seals and O-rings, holding the BVI Certificate for the IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System, which stands as a testament to its adherence to international quality standards. The mission of the company is to supply value-added quality products with integrity and environmental responsibility, while consistently focusing on excellence in quality, timely delivery, cost reduction, and speed of response.

The staff of the company warmly welcomed our team and provided a detailed explanation of their manufacturing processes, product applications, and quality management practices. They also shed light on workplace ethics and professional culture, even sharing information about salary structures and growth opportunities. The students observed with great interest, gaining first-hand knowledge about how industries function and the significance of discipline and precision in professional settings.

The visit then continued to SDLC Company, Ambiga cinemas, 223-222, church Rd, sathamangalam, Madurai, TamilNadu, where the students were introduced to the concepts of UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design. The company representatives explained how these aspects play a pivotal role in creating user-friendly digital products and applications. The session was highly interactive, with students eagerly asking questions about design principles, usability, and real-world applications. The staff members patiently clarified their doubts and encouraged the students to strengthen their creative and problem-solving skills, which are vital for a successful career in the IT field.

In between the sessions, lunch arrived on time and the students really enjoyed the meal, which added to the comfort and pleasantness of the day. The well-arranged food ensured that students remained refreshed and energetic throughout the rest of the program. The students were highly disciplined during the entire journey. They reported on time, assembled punctually for the bus, and followed every instruction given by the staff.

Their enthusiasm and respectful behavior were deeply appreciated by both faculty and company representatives.

The entire journey turned out to be not only educational but also enjoyable, as the students and faculty shared meaningful learning moments along with a memorable travel experience.

Overall, the industrial visit was a highly enriching and rewarding experience. It bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by exposing the students to both the manufacturing industry at Bhargave Rubber Pvt. Ltd. and the software design concepts at SDLC Company. The insights gained during this visit will certainly inspire students to pursue excellence in academics as well as in their future professional endeavors.

The Tech Nexus Association successfully fulfilled its mission of enhancing industry- oriented learning through this initiative, leaving the students with lasting memories and valuable lessons for their career journey ahead.
