“PC ESSENTIAL”
The course aims to equip participants with a foundational understanding of both software and hardware components essential in the field of computer engineering and design. It begins by differentiating between software and hardware, emphasizing the importance of design and engineering tools such as CAD, CAM, Creo, ANSYS, SolidWorks, and CATIA. Participants will gain insights into core computer components, including microprocessors, motherboards, SMPS, BIOS, various types of RAM, and storage devices like HDD and SSD, along with a clear understanding of processor generations. Practical skills such as installing Windows operating systems (10/11), managing files, partitioning disks, and performing initial system setups are also covered. Additionally, the course highlights the relevance of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, while introducing graphic design tools like CorelDraw and Photoshop. Lastly, it provides a basic overview of networking concepts, including types of network cables, colour coding, IP addressing, and the use of the command prompt for troubleshooting network issues.
