Resource Leveling & Monitoring in Project Management using PRIMAVERA from 02/01/2025 to 06/01/2025

The Department of Civil Engineering organized a five-days Short-Term Training Program (STTP) on “Scheduling, Resource Leveling & Monitoring in Project Management using PRIMAVERA” from 02/01/2025 to 06/01/2025.

The session was inaugurated by Dr. S. Krishnapriya, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, who emphasized the importance of modern project management tools in optimizing construction projects. She highlighted how effective scheduling, resource management, and monitoring are critical for the successful execution of large-scale projects.

Mr. S. Akash.B.E., an expert in project management with extensive experience in the construction industry and associated with Infinity PMC Solutions Pvt. Ltd., was the resource person for the course.

The course provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of project management concepts, with a special focus on using PRIMAVERA software for scheduling, resource leveling, and project monitoring. The training sessions covered various aspects of project management, including the creation of project timelines, resource allocation, and tracking project progress through real-time data updates.

 Participants were given hands-on training in the use of PRIMAVERA, which enabled them to apply the learned concepts in simulated project environments. The course also included practical exercises that taught the participants how to balance resources, manage project timelines, and monitor project performance efficiently.

 Faculty members from civil department, other departments and IV Year Civil Engineering students attended the course, which offered them valuable insights into how advanced project management techniques can enhance the efficiency and accuracy of construction projects.

The course concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where Dr. Krishnapriya ,HoD Civil thanked Mr. Akash for his contribution and reiterated the significance of such programs in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices.
