The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and CSE Cyber Security at AAA College of Engineering and Technology combinedly organized a guest lecture on September 29, 2025, titled “Scope for AI & Cyber Security in the field of Healthcare”. The event, which began with a welcome address by Ms. V. Kiruthika and a feasibility address delivered by HoD Dr. P. Deva Balan, featuring a Chief Guest Mr. R. S. Saravanan, an expert in AI-driven government projects. Mr. Saravanan delivered a comprehensive presentation, first detailing Medical Artificial Intelligence and its role in revolutionizing diagnostics, treatment planning, and hospital automation through machine learning for early disease detection and precision medicine. He then emphasized the crucial need for Cybersecurity in the Medical Field, explaining how AI-based threat detection systems safeguard sensitive patient data from breaches, citing government initiatives for secure healthcare infrastructures. He also covered the evolution of medical hardware into AI-integrated smart devices like robotic surgery assistants and wearable monitors. Furthermore, he discussed the AI Revolution’s Economic Impact, highlighting the new employment opportunities and industrial progress driven by interdisciplinary learning, and demonstrated the use of AI in Robotics and Medical Applications for high-precision surgeries and rehabilitation. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, inspiring attendees to explore the vast opportunities in AI, medicine, and cybersecurity.
