On October 9, 2025, the NSS Unit of AAACET organized a significant awareness session under the Mithra TB Initiative, aimed at educating students and the public about Tuberculosis (TB) care and prevention. The event featured an enlightening address by the Chief Guest, Mr.M.Prabhakaran, Senior Treatment Supervisor of Virudhunagar Block. With his extensive experience in TB care, he provided NSS volunteers with a comprehensive overview of the protocols followed in managing TB cases. His insights emphasized the importance of timely medical intervention and adherence to prescribed medication, which are critical to controlling the spread of the disease. The Chief Guest also highlighted various government schemes and support systems available for TB patients, encouraging volunteers to act as ambassadors of public health. He urged them to disseminate this knowledge within their communities, helping to break the stigma surrounding TB and promote early detection and treatment. At the end of the session, four NSS volunteers enrolled themselves as ambassadors of the Mithra TB Initiative. The program was coordinated by NSS Coordinator Mr.S.Balamurugan.
