The Department of Civil Engineering at AAA College of Engineering & Technology successfully organized a 10-day Value Added Course on “Communication Skills & Interview Etiquette” in collaboration with I Tech Academy, Tirunelveli. The course was conducted in two phases: Phase 1 from 07th to 11th July 2025 and Phase 2 from 21st to 25th July 2025.
The primary objective of the course was to enhance students’ communication abilities, interpersonal skills, and readiness for interviews. Sessions were handled by expert resource persons: Mr. M. Chellapa, Mrs. C. Meena, and Mr. D. Shree Murugan, who delivered interactive and impactful training on key areas such as:
- Self-introduction and body language
- Grooming and professional etiquette
- Presentation and public speaking skills
- Time and stress management
- Team building activities
- Resume preparation and interview techniques
In addition to theoretical inputs, the course featured practical activities including group discussions, role plays, and mock interviews, providing students with hands-on experience and personalized feedback.
This value-added initiative significantly boosted students’ confidence and equipped them with essential soft skills for a successful career in the professional world.
