The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a motivational talk on “Career Paths in Electrical Engineering”. The session was held on 01.04.2025 from 01:30 PM to 02:30PM at Sir Thomas Alva Edison Hall, Cambridge Block. The event aimed to enlighten students on the broad scope of career opportunities in Electrical Engineering and inspire them through the experiences of a globally successful alumnus.The talk was delivered by Mr. Raj Sivasankaran, B.E an esteemed alumnus of (2013-2017 EEE Batch) of the institution. The speaker recounted his inspiring journey from a student at our college to becoming a global industry expert, providing students with a roadmap for success. He explored multiple domains including Aerospace and Defence Electrical Systems, Power Generation and Nuclear Energy, Embedded Systems and Simulation Engineering and Systems Integration and Digital Twins. Mr. Raj encouraged students to pursue higher education, research, and international roles, stressing the significance of certifications and staying up to date with evolving technologies. Students were inspired to look beyond conventional roles and consider entrepreneurship in sectors like clean energy and smart infrastructure. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A interaction, where students actively participated and received practical advice on internships, job preparation, and handling career challenges. The event ended with a vote of thanks and a memento presented to the guest speaker in appreciation of his valuable time and inspiring insights.
