The Department of Electronics Communication, AAA College of Engineering and Technology Sivakasi celebrated the Pi Day on today 14-03-2024 Thursday. Pi day Celebrated on March 14th (3/14),pays homage to the mathematical constant π (Pi) which represents the ratio of the circumference to its diameter.it was founded by Larry Shaw in 1988 .later ,in 2009 the United States house of representatives the designation of the pi day. A Guest Lecture by Dr. T. Senthil Professor & HOD/ECE is also arranged for discussing the 6 ways an ECE engineer uses the π in describing it’s applications.
- Calculation of Geo stationary orbit height and mean motion in the satellite communication.
- Signal analysis using Fourier series
- Signal analysis using Fourier transform
- TE and TM modes of EM waves in the rectangular wave guide
- Design of rectangular resonator cavity.
- Design of microstrip patch antenna.
The third year students attended the guest lecture and demonstrated the symbol π with banners. Mr. Philip allwin. AP/ ECE coordinated the π symbol demonstration .
