Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology)

The Department of VLSI enables the students to acquaint themselves with the latest developments in the field of computational technologies and also to learn innovative approaches in programming subjects.

Course Outcomes (COs)

  • Apply fundamental concepts of semiconductor physics and CMOS technology in IC design.
  • Analyze and design combinational and sequential digital circuits for VLSI applications.
  • Design analog circuits such as amplifiers, oscillators, and filters using VLSI principles.
  • Utilize hardware description languages (HDL) like Verilog/VHDL for digital system design.
  • Implement FPGA-based systems for real-time applications.
  • Apply Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for simulation, synthesis, and layout design.
  • Analyze timing, power, and area constraints in VLSI circuit design.
  • Design and test integrated circuits considering reliability and performance parameters.
  • Develop System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures for embedded and IoT applications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and nanotechnology concepts.
  • Apply verification and validation techniques for IC testing.
  • Work effectively in teams to complete multidisciplinary projects in VLSI domain.
