The Department of Science and Humanities organized an Awareness Programme for First-Year Engineering Students (2025-2029 Batch). The programme, titled “Yoga for Youth Empowerment,” was held on August 21, 2025, at 9:15 A.M. in the Kamarajar Auditorium, Oxford Block. Dr. C. Gayathri, AP/ Mathematics, delivered the Welcome Address. Dr. K. Anand, Academic Coordinator, honoured the Chief Guest, Mr. M. Raja Sudalai Muthu. Dr. R. Anitha, AP/ Physics, gave an introduction about the Chief Guest. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. M. Raja Sudalai Muthu, who delivered splendid ideas on yoga and meditation. Yoga offers significant benefits for youth empowerment by enhancing physical and mental well-being, fostering self-confidence, and improving focus and concentration. Students learned that yoga enhances focus, concentration, and memory, which can be particularly helpful for academic performance. Yoga helps to manage stress, anxiety, and depression, common challenges faced by young people. Students participated enthusiastically and gained knowledge and understanding of youth empowerment.
